I’m Daniel Germishuys, Managing Director.
I was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, where I completed my three-year mechanical engineering apprenticeship. In 2005, I moved to London and have been living here ever since as a South African British citizen.
Since 2005, I have worked for both international and national companies and completed several industry courses and accreditations relevant to hydraulic engineering. This includes Hydraulic Hose Assembly Systems and Components by City and Guilds accreditation.
I have always been passionate about hydraulics and had a desire to create my own brand. With the amazing support of my family and friends, my dream became a reality. On March 1st, 2021, we launched 1ST Choice Hydraulics Ltd.
We offer hydraulic solutions to all types of industrial machinery in London and surrounding areas, including lorries, forklifts, diggers, and buses. We already have a loyal client base, including waste management, plant hire, transportation, buildings, and construction companies.

What are our lead delivery times?40-60 minutes to complete grab attachment hoses, breaker hoses replacement, change of quick release couplings, and replacement of quick hitch hoses 60-90 minutes to complete power steering hose repairs, gear box hoses, hydraulic leak inside engine bay 120 minutes and above to complete valve block repairs, modification on hydraulic systems, hydraulic ram removal and replacement, hydraulic tank replacement and installation of components
